An introduction to George

This is George.

George is my pride and joy.  He is a 1985 VW Golf CL and I have owned him for ten years.  Originally purchased when my Dad and I went on a mission to find me a car for under £50, he has remained with me all this time.  

I have tried to keep George as original as I possibly can and with 157,000 miles on the clock, he's doing well.  Although he currently has no MOT due to carburettor issues, I hope to get him back on the road for next Summer.  

Here, I will be writing about anything and everything to do with cars but especially George.
